"VOKI" is a fantastic tool that your students will love for sure. With this program, your studnets will produce wonderful and different avatars since it offers users plenty of different characters (presidents, monsters, animals,among others), as well as differents backgrounds. Your students will be amazed with this tool because they can explore and work with all the things that it offers them. Besides, once they choose a character and create the one they like the most, they can also give their avatars a voice. It is a very useful tool since teachers can work with it in the classrooms no matters the topic. Here on the left of the screen, you can appreciate my own avatar called "Gaspy the monster". The idea behind this was to put him as the guider of my blog.

Technology Resources Awakening Curiosity: “POWTOON”

POWTOON is an amazing tool that our students will love for sure. It is wonderful since we can revolutionarize our classes. Wth this page, teachers as well as students can create videos and animated presentations that are reproduced as a cartoon. I strongly believe that with "POWTOON" our students would like to prepare all their projects in such a web page. I have prepared a video presentation for my 3rd year students. The idea was to present them a task that they will have to produce related to our Planet. I consider that it is a great idea to change the traditional classes and show my students that learning English can be very fun.

"Calameo" is a tool that can help us to create web interactive publications. You can work with it without any problem since it is easier to use. All you have to do is to upload a pdf file and wonderful magazines, pamphlets, brochures, among others documents will be created. With Calameo teachers can produce different documents and organize the information for students, so as to facilitate their learning process. In the example above,I created a photo essay about "The May Revolution in Argentina" so as to work with my 3rd year students at a Private Institute. The idea behind this is to refresh my students´memory as regards such a date.

Exploration of Visual Tools: "VISME"

"Visme" is a fantastic tool for helping our students since it facilitates the learning process and make it more dynamic. All the information your students need will be packaged in just one image. For sure, classes will change completely once you start using such a tool. In the example above, I prepared an infography as regards the use of prepositions. The idea behind this is to show as well as teach my students (Level A2/ Private institute)) that such prepositions implicate a certain property of space. The idea is to help them internalize the meanings behind the prepositions (in front of/ behind/ between/opposite/in the middle of/next to).

"Flipped Classrooms"

When we talk about "Flipped Classrooms", we are referring to a new form of teaching-learning system in which students can learn new content online by watching some videos, usually at home. What used to be homework, is now done in class and becomes useful for teachers because they can offer more personalized guidance to their students and classes are more interactive, instead of the traditional lecturing. As a way of using this new form of teaching, I will work with the video called "The last knit" and I will present it to a group of adults learners. From the video, we can work with simple questions such as, who is she? What is she doing? Why is she there? What are her problems? among other questions. This would help them to participate even more and learn simple concepts.

"WEBQUEST"

"Exploring Cultures" from Beluky

"WEBQUESTS" are very useful for students of levels A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2. It is very practical for them, for example,whenever the teacher asks them to make a search project. With this tool,the teacher facilitates students´ work by giving them factual and serious pages about a certain topic. Once they analyze the different pages proposed by the teacher, they can start doing their work.

"Presentation and Publication Tools: ISSUU"

"ISSUU" is a fantastic tool that you could use in the classroom. For sure, your students will be engaged for using it, since they would be able to create their own e-books and organize all their homework. With just a click, you could upload different documents (word, PDFs, among others)and your book is ready for sharing. In this case, I created one about "Workers´Day" as a way of teaching and showing my students (3rd Year) why we celebrate such a day on May, 1st. This page could be used with intermediate- advanced learners.

"INFOGRAPHIES: Easel.ly"

"EASEL.LY" is an amazing page to work with. Here, you can produce visual representations of information about different topics, sharing your own ideas and opinions. This page will help teachers a lot, since they can implemented in their classrooms. Your students will be fascinated because in such a page they will be able to produce their own visual posters and share with the whole class. Teachers could use it with students from A2 to C2 levels.

"TED: Ideas Worth Spreading"

"TED" is a serious page where we can watch plenty of short videos from some of the most engaging speakers around the world. As these videos cover an endless range of topics, I consider that it could be useful to incorporate them into the classrooms. Our students could learn how to speak appropriately and be ready for their future speeches. In addition, I consider that such a page can be used with students at a B2-C2 levels.

"Learning Objects: Jigsawplanet"

"JIGSAWPLANET" is a wonderful page in which you can create different puzzles as regards different topics for your students. It is a funny as well as an innovative way of introducing different tools into your classrooms. In addition, I believe it will motivate students, and they will learn by playing. The following puzzles were created for a group of 1st Grade (Beginners). The aim of these two puzzles was to entertain them and to allow them to learn by playing.

"Innovative Teaching Approach: Padlet"

"PADLET" is an interactive and online wall in which we can summarize different topics under study, organize ideas, insert images, upload videos, and most importantly, carry it to your classroom. This tool is very useful for teaching since you can summarize different topics and facilite your students´ understanding. Besides, you could use "PADLET" with students from all levels. In this case, I created an interactive wall called "Grammar zone". The intention of it, was to help my students (3rd Year, A2) to better comprehend and internalize the grammar rules for present simple and present continuous.

"Scoop.It"

"SCOOP.IT" is an interesting platform in which users are allowed to collect information about a topic of their interest and display it on an attractive visual page. I think that with "SCOOP.IT" users can discover new trends and reflect upon other thoughts. On my account- Belen Olivares- I have created an album called "Becoming a Transcendentalist Teacher" in which you can see all the pages I have selected.

"Word Clouds: Organizing Ideas"

"Wordle it out" is a very interesting page since it can help our students to organize their ideas. It functions like a "brainstorming". With this page, they can organize speeches, or short presentations about different topics. The one posted here was prepared for a 3rd year class (level A2) at a private institute. The idea of creating such a word cloud was to introduce them the topic related to "time out". In such a topic, my students would have to work with different kinds of festivals arund the world as well as present simple/ present continuous.

"Seven Complex Lessons for Education in the Future"

The diagram uploaded here contains information about different lessons for Education in the future. Edgard Morin, the author of the book, "Seven Complex Lessons in Education for the Future" describes the following lessons in detail: I. "Detecting error and illusion" II. "Principles of pertinent knowledge" III. "Teaching the human condition" IV. "Earth identity" V. " Confronting uncertainties" VI. "Understanding each other" VII. "Ethics for the human genre" With my classmates, We only worked on four of the lessons, and then we designed a mind map in Cacoo: https://cacoo.com/diagrams/smGVLey7fs5qY7be The diagram was made in a program called "CACOO". It is an online service that can be used in order to create, share and publish different diagrams. By using ""CACOO", you could create a collaborative group with all your students. This is an amazing tool, since teachers could adopt it in their classrooms. Besides,it can be used as a perfect way of summarizing different topics under study. All your students could participate as well as add or correct pieces of information at the same time. Working with "CACOO" seems like students and teachers are in the same room, at the same time. I consider that students from level B1 up to C2 as well as adults could perfectly work with this tool.

"SlideShare"

"Conversation Time" from Beluky

"SlideShare" offers users the possibility of sharing their presentations with all the World. Besides presentations, SlideShare allows users to upload documents, PDFs and Videos. This page becomes really useful since you could organize all your work in it. This presentation was prepared for a group of 3rd year students of English. The idea behind this, is to help my students to develop their language skill. In it, there were proposed for different topics (Television, Hobbies, Fun and Adventure) related to "hopes and dreams" for them to choose one and plan a dialogue. The activity was really interesting and students were glad to work with it. In this case, I decided to prepare such a presentation for them in order to make the class more dinamic by introducing technology in the classroom and also, as a wonderful way of leaving the whiteboard aside. In addition, using such a tool help me to organize my classes, and it also allows me to manage time better.

These collages were done with a programm called "BEFUNKY".As you can see, my collages are about classrooms and the idea behind this is to transmit to all of you that it does not matter the place where you are or the people you are with,all that really cares is that you can learn dispate the adversities. BEFUNKY is an amazing tool that allows you to edit your photos, create collages, and personalized your pictures the way you like the most. It also offers you the possibility to choose the color you want,to add some inscription in your collages or photos, to insert some emojis, to select different effects, among other changes. Without a doubt, you have to prove it right now! It is wonderful!!!

"Ubiquitous Learning"

Probably you are asking yourself, what is the meaning of ubiquitous learning?. Well, let me tell you that this kind of learning is closely associated with mobile technology, since people can access the internet in order to acquire the knowlegde and the connections needed inside and outside the classrooms at any time. As Nicholas Burbules explains in the video, ubiquituos learning will carry sociocultural changes among students, since teachers could create a cultural environment in which students can practice, share and learn at the same time they use their cell phones. How could it be possible? By inserting in them glossaries, dictionaries, guides, among others sources. Without doubt, ubiquitous learning will help students in the process of learning, and it will foster the developing of a critical thinking.

El siguiente vídeo fue grabado en Perú, y podemos dar cuenta de las necesidades diarias que sufre dicha población.El mismo nos permite ver aquella parte de la sociedad que se deja de lado. Nos revela un mundo no tan ajeno a lo que podemos percibir y/o vivir en nuestro país, pero que lamentablemente no se tiene en cuenta. Estos ángeles vestidos de paya médicos que podemos observar en el vídeo, de alguna forma se acercan a los habitantes de Iquitos con el fin de apoyarlos, ayudarlos, entretenerlos, y motivarlos a seguir adelante siempre con un sonrisa. Sin lugar a duda, este vídeo nos lleva a reflexionar en nuestro accionar y nos permite tambien buscar la forma de ayudar a los mas necesitados. Muchas veces hay que dejar la arrogancia de lado y educar a los nuestros con respecto a la idea de que tener el mejor celular, la ropa del momento o el mejor auto no te hace mejor persona.
